Josef Chromy Pepik Chardonnay 2023
Josef Chromy Pepik Chardonnay 2023
Delight in the fresh, vibrant character of the Josef Chromy Pepik Chardonnay 2023, a wine that captures the essence of Tasmania’s cool-climate winemaking.
On the nose, experience the refreshing aromas of freshly cut pear, Granny Smith apples, and lemon zest, rounded out by juicy notes of mandarin. A mineral undertone emerges, characterised by hints of crushed pebbles, chalk, and candle wax, with subtle layers of flint and almond meal adding complexity.
The palate is lively and fresh, with citrus and stone fruit flavours balanced by a clean, mineral-driven acidity. The finish is long and savoury, with excellent length and a bright acid drive that leaves a lasting impression.

Relbia
Relbia is a small but growing wine region located just south of Launceston in northern Tasmania.
While close to the Tamar Valley, Relbia is part of a unique sub-region that benefits from its proximity to the North Esk River and the region's rich soils.
Known for its cool-climate conditions, Relbia produces high-quality Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc. The long growing season here allows for slow, even ripening, resulting in wines with vibrant acidity, intense fruit flavours, and elegant structure.
This emerging wine region has gained attention for its boutique vineyards, which are producing exceptional sparkling and still wines, often praised for their purity and crispness. Though small, Relbia is carving out a name for itself as one of Tasmania’s up-and-coming wine regions.
